this burden of manufactured history
a beast of hideous memory
of broken dreams and misery
contaminates the spirit of clarity

this blanket of darkness
a garment of meaninglessness
of ignorant shadows and emptiness
weighs heavy upon the shoulders

this room of poisoned air
a house of idle fear
of sentiments and dead atmosphere
turns the sweetness of now; to sour later
