Eritrea: Schools unprepared to battle the new realities of COVID-19.
The pandemic in itself is a huge challenge. In lieu of this crisis, Eritrean youth are being sent to schools that are unprepared to battle the new realities of COVID-19. As you can see in the picture, classrooms that children are being sent to are filled with mold, while they are also not being provided the tools (masks) or enforcing measures (social distancing) to properly combat the epidemic. PROTECT OUR KIDS.
With partial easing of restrictions, 11th-grade schooling resumed on July 6 to make up for lost time in 2019-2020 academic year. The arrangement included school boarding facilities elsewhere for those who come from localities where schools normally close due to climatic conditions pic.twitter.com/8HjqM0LX7W
