Remember November

there comes a moment
like any other time
a minute or two
to stand on
your feet
feel the ground
flying bullets
bombs and tanks everywhere
under dark skies
buried in mud
among the maimed
blood stained

on this day
pray the dead
did not die in vain

on the eleventh of November
the eleventh hour
of two thousand eleven
11 11 11
to end a war
that never ends
all over the places
localities and hideouts
for a cause
forgotten in remembrance

for they gave their life
for no more or less
so priceless in spirit
and breath
